Welcome Letter

back to school

Welcome back to another school year! Hopefully it will be full of new and exciting experiences.

I am the 3rd and 4th Grade School Counselor, and have been working for the district as an Elementary Counselor since 2009. I am here to provide assistance to your child to help him/her succeed in academics, social settings, and to help guide them in his/her path to the future.

I work with the students in many different capacities throughout the school year. I sometimes see students in the classroom during Leader In Me lessons when I am able to assist the classroom teacher, and can further work with students on skills that have been discussed during these lessons.  I have many students that I see on either an individual basis or whom I work with in small groups. These students get a more individualized meeting to help work through specific topics that may have become a barrier to being the very best students they can be. These meetings are often short term, however, referrals can be discussed for more consistent and permanent supports if needed. Parents, teachers, nurses, etc. can refer these students for counseling.

Please feel free to contact me at any time during the school year if you would like to discuss your child’s needs, have concerns, need information, or need further resources. At any time or for any need during the school year, please feel free to call or email me.

I look forward to a wonderful school year!
