Virtual Bingo for Books

Title I will be offering Bingo for Books workshops virtually by grade level this year. Parents and families, please join your child to play bingo, win books, and to learn more about reading and math strategies (K-2), with a focus on PSSA skills (3-6). Great Webinars and Resources from PBS and PDE

Educators, parents, and caregivers are encouraged to check out Learning at Home, a great new collection of resources provided by a partnership between PBS and the PA Department of Education. Learning at Home offers a large variety of educational and entertaining videos, activities, and games to support learning at home. Throughout January and February 2021, they are also offering a six-part webinar series called "A Few of My Favorite Things." Veterans Day 2020

There is no school on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, in observance of Veterans Day. Please click on this announcement's headline to view this year's PAES Veteran's Day Program. New Attendance Update for Sporting Events and Other School Events

Due to a new state order regarding athletic spectators, beginning Friday, October 9, 2020 PASD will be allowing 20% capacity at both indoor and outdoor facilities. Stadium maximum capacity is set at 500 total individuals and Gymnasium maximum capacity is set at 196 total. Members of the public will only be welcomed without pre-tickets as indicated on the chart, which can be viewed by clicking on the headline of this announcement. Student athletes and band will each receive the number of tickets listed below for each sporting event. Masks must be worn at both indoor and outdoor sporting events and social distancing must be practiced. The district will also broadcast selected events on the district YouTube channel when possible.

Free Meals to Every Child, Every Day!

Beginning Thursday, October 1, 2020, the Punxsutawney School District will offer Breakfast and Lunch to ALL CHILDREN 18 & YOUNGER! Pick up will be via drive-through daily in two locations--In front of the Punxsutawney High School CDMG Gym doors or at the Parent drop off/pick up lane at the Punxsutawney Elementary School from 1:30 pm – 1:45 pm. Meals will be available on a first come first serve basis. Only one lunch and one breakfast per child per day is allowed.

K-12 eAcademy Start Date/eAcademy Plus K-5 Students use Google Chrome

Attention all eAcademy students. Due to modifications to the PASD school calendar due to COVID-19 the start date for eAcademy is now Thursday, August 27th. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

eAcademy Plus students K-5 should use Google Chrome not Safari to access eAcademy and their courses.
