Weaving challenge: 1.) Cut an odd number of tabs in a plastic cup. Cut towards the bottom of the cup leaving about an inch of cup intact. 2.) Cut a piece of string about the length of your arm. If you don’t have a string you can use ribbons, long blades of grass, cut up old magazines or plastic shopping bags into long strips for weaving. 3.) Place one end of your string or recycled material inside the cup and begin weaving your material in and out (over and under) between the tabs that you cut around the cup. When you run out of material to weave with, tuck a new piece in or tie it to your previous strand and keep weaving. Try hiding the connection on the inside of the cup so the weave appears to be continuous. Tips: Don’t pull too tightly or you will distort the cup’s shape. Push the yarn down to fill the empty spaces.
