About Ms. Cribbs

Hello! My name is Amanda Cribbs and I am the 5th and 6th Grade School Counselor at Punxsutawney Area Elementary School.

I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from IUP in 2018 and my Master's Degree in K-12 School Counseling from IUP in 2020. Before becoming a School Counselor at PASD in 2021, I was a Family-Based Therapist in Indiana, Westmoreland, and Armstrong counties.

My favorite things to do outside of school are to read, go to the gym, and spend time with my fiancé and our cat, Lucy.

Throughout the school year, you can find me in classrooms helping with Leader in Me lessons and Smart Futures lessons, as well as meeting with students individually and in small groups.

5th and 6th Grade is an exciting time in a student's academic career. My goal as the 5th and 6th grade School Counselor is to help students achieve growth academically, socially, and emotionally.

Please do not hesitate to contact me throughout the year if you have any questions, concerns, or are in need of mental health resources.

I'm looking forward to a great year :)

-Ms. Cribbs
